Distance + Lee = hashtag win
Distance and I, have gone together for a long time now. We are like Peas and Carrots, Burgers and Fries, Forrest and Jenny.
Since my Mum took off (harsh I know) and departed for the beautiful Teeside area (sorry folks but its not) when I was 13 years old, traveling has come the norm. Long travel as well. 3 and a half hours to get there from my home to visit there. It wouldn't happen much but I went up there at least once a year. Normally Mum would come here and visit me.
So about 6 years ago I took on a new job role in Homebase as part of the refit team. We would travel from place to place all over the whole of the country. It originally was only suppose to be helping one store out locally, but turned into a full time thing. So where I had never been to Scotland, Ireland and Wales, I managed to visit all of them in the space of 4 months. Pretty cool. The lifestyle wasn't great at times. I lost touch with a lot of my friends due to being away 5 days of the week. Weekends were my time to chill out at home and do nothing. When living at a hotel 5 nights, you tend to work longer hours. 12 hour days were normal daily routines for me during those times. Then back to the hotel for food and beers. I have never eaten so well. We had daily allowances so you could definitely get lunch, and 3 courses in a evening meal. I do blame this for my slight beer belly now, but if I had never of done this lifestyle I wouldn't have some of the great memories and times I had.
I won't go to far into it but I will pick a few things out of it to just talk about why I am focusing about Distance, because I am kinda trying to link it back to it ultimately being involved with me.
So when I used to go up to my mum's I started seeing a girl up there. It was hard as being 16 and only seeing this girl 4 times a year, its not going to work. It was more a lust thing. Just wanted to get my end away like the typical hot blooded teenager I was. Never happened though obviously, distance there was the winner.
It was a long time after until I met OL (don't want her being branded here, and will spare her innocence) It was the first time that a girl has expressed interest in me, before it was all me trying and asking the girls out. Okay maybe not all her, I did my part too, but basically it wasn't too be. Will still chat now and stuff, but never will it go further than friends.
I have also had another girlfriend from parts unknown. Again it was a distance thing, but due to money at the time I couldn't afford to keep it on. Something that makes me laugh is that I can't seem to find anything local at all. If I find an interest, it normally fucks up as soon as it gets past the "curious" stage.
Even half my friends need traveling to Northampton being on, out of town areas etc. Don't get me wrong, I do have family and friends in my hometown, but the percentage of people out of town and around the country totally outweighs the people in town.
With my current job I am still traveling a hour at average there and a hour back.
So to stop this meaningless ramble of a blog post as my brain is like mashed potato due to tiredness. Distance and me just gel!

Whats all the fuss? This is the real fuss!
So as I sit here on my last night shift for a while I kinda remembered I had this blog. Have deleted alot of the posts due to embarrassing posts regarding my life and how shite it is and the things I gone through. Don't want people to see those things and for some reason that was the only place to vent for me during a difficult time.
So after reading Dan's latest post I had to reply regarding his PMT moment over the gorgeous mouthwatering food which is Baked Beans.
He says
He goes on..
He continues....
Sorry Dan, The true devil of the breakfast world is the spawn of Satan themselves! Mushrooms
My love hate.... sorry, my HATE relationship with them started when I first started going to the local wetherspoons for meals with either my dad on a bonding session or whenever my mum comes down for a visit, which is about 4 times or so a year. I love the gammon in there. The gammon steak with garden peas, chips is just lush. I know its mostly microwaved meals and quick stuff, but its my favourite in those establishments so I normally go for this. Now this comes (or used to, its been a while) with a mushroom. Whenever I would visit the counter I would announce that I want NO mushrooms, even sometimes stating I was allergic to them to make crystal clear they would not come on my plate. What I hate about them is the fact they spread this black/brown watery puss over the plate and onto over delicious items on my plate. Staining the Chips and possessing them, thus blackening their soul with their soggy diarrhoea! Mushrooms are horrid vile things Yuk!
I know no two people will agree with everything, but I must fight

So after reading Dan's latest post I had to reply regarding his PMT moment over the gorgeous mouthwatering food which is Baked Beans.
He says
"Nothing on Earth is as mouth-watering as the smell of a cooked breakfast. Bacon sizzling under the grill; hot, plump sausages baking in the oven; the warm, nutty aroma of bread frying."Okay I heartly agree with this. The English breakfast is a great thing, and I aim to have one once a week, okay I don't cook it and pay for it in the towns local cafe but still, its something I love to enjoy. Before I started talking to Dan via the means of twitter I knew one person of the "beans allergy's" and he just doesn't like them. Its fair enough, for some reason I don't want to defend my cause like Phoenix Wright and yell OBJECTION across the table and point straight at his face as I spew constant text about why he should eat the beans. Yet with Dan I seem to have to plead their cause.
He goes on..
"The English Breakfast is an absolute treat for the senses and if there's one thing that can ruin it in a bloody heartbeat, it's the addition of a big wet puddle of baked beans"*puts hand up* woah woah woah their sailor! They ruin a breakfast?! In my case to your damnation against the Heinz kind I have to disagree here. Beans are very tasty. So tasty in fact I love how the juice oozes across the plate, and allowing me to dip my butter moist toast in it and soak it up before seductively talking a bite out of it. Thinking of it now makes me want it!
He continues....
"The cheap, sweet juice gets over everything and instantly taints the flavour of every other item on the plate. Baked beans are, quite frankly, an abomination and I despise them. The way they look, the way they taste, the way they smell - nothing about them is good and they make me very angry indeed."
